"...A new band made up of Simone TB and Slim Twig of Tropics, plus Slim's wife/artistic partner Meg Remy of U.S. Girls and both Amanda Crist and Carlyn Bezic of Ice Cream. It's a good chunk of Toronto's east end music scene in one band...Where all of the members' main projects approach genre conventions - loosely art-punk, girl group pop and minimalist post-punk - from somewhat of an intellectual (and sometimes unsettling) distance, Darlene Shrugg is a place for straight ahead (but not too straight ahead) rock music. Michael Rault

Michael Rault is a Toronto-based singer, guitarist and songwriter fronting his own eponymously named band. A gifted multi- instrumentalist and arranger, his hooky blend of pop rock refracts an evolution of guitar based music through the ages. An era-defying mischievousness defines his synthesis of jukebox R’n’B, and acid psych as refracted through the experience of an adolescence spent idolizing the clever craftsmanship of the Beatles and the wiggy New Orleans textures of Dr. John in equal measure.

Saint Clare

Saint Clare plays frantic, heartfelt rock n’ roll that is too poppy to be considered garage rock by purists, and too fuzzy to be considered just pop. They have drawn comparisons to the Pixies, Husker Du, and The Cure and draw on a wide range of genres from pop to rock to indie to garage and psychedelic. The band cites Reigning Sound, The Deadly Snakes, and The Jesus & Mary Chain as influences on their big, fuzzy, and catchy sound that is driven by the energy of front-man Matthew Saint Clare and the melodies of their horn section.

His love for music combined with his education and general interest in Marketing has now led to developing appreciation for Marketing and how a creative marketing and branding can not only enhance the experience but also drive home the message imbedded into the music. He is currently putting the finishing touches on his first official EP titled ‘risession’ a 4-song project that touches on life, love and the pursuit of one’s passion

The Lone Wolf ep sees Jack's unique brand of outsider folk stripped of it's production, performed passionately, live and raw. The new music features empathy for the underdog, deep-seated respect for nature, wry sense of humour, and a mandolin...playing very furiously, then very softly. Lone Wolf will soon serve as a perfect companion to the 2016 release of a full-band sophomore album from Jack Pine and The Fire.

Cabaal & Hard Science

As Cabaal, producer and musician Ben Globerman coaxes the breath out of the mechanical into a world of rhythmic techno clamour and quiet post-industrial ambience. Cabaal’s sounds emerge out of various natural and constructed processes, from altered acoustic field recordings to purely digital renderings. He’s worked in sound design for film, theatre, and installations. Live, Cabaal operates various drum machines and synthesizers to improvise and construct imagined landscapes.

Hard Science (aka. Arturo Brisindi) is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Ottawa, ON who focusses on video experimentation. His tools of choice include an LZX modular video synthesizer, Fairlight CVI and a small arsenal of old video mixers and cameras. No laptops or software for him - Hard Science chooses to stay in the analogue domain, like they did in the early days of video art. His visuals bring the stage to life with hazy, psychedelic video that’s reminiscent of an 80’s dream. Processing live footage and generating synthesized patterns, Hard Science creates a sense of nostalgia, transporting viewers to a simpler time.
