Ben has composed works for film, theatre, and installation, and has created projects in diverse fields such as healthcare, fashion and public services. Philippe Charbonneau is a composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist from Hull, Québec. He co-founded E-Tron, a record label that, since 2010, has established itself as a leading Canadian creative musical outlet with over 30 releases from artists from the capital region and abroad. In 2010, Soul Jazz Orchestra's Rising Sun (Strut Records), an album on which he guest appeared as a double bassist was nominated for best instrumental album of the year at the Juno Awards. His group Scattered Clouds, for which he is the principal song-writer and producer, has toured North America and has released two albums on E-Tron. Since 2013, Charbonneau has worked as a contemporary dance accompanist for Canadian dance companies Ottawa Dance Classes, Ottawa Dance Directives and FDMS (Fesitval de dance en milieu scolaire). His most recent release "Earth and Sky" is an instrumental double album consisting of solo guitar compositions and ambient electric soundscapes.
"Boyhood's prog-grunge compositions shun standard verse/chorus structure, instead coming in intense swells of noisy guitars and drums that morph from one melody to the next. She combines the pounding rhythms and off-key dirges of Nirvana with the atmosphere of a 1960s horror flick soundtrack to create something all the more visceral, haunting, and unexpectedly cathartic. It's especially impressive that she does this as a solo artist who plays all of the instruments on her recordings herself." Greg Bouchard, Noisey
Adam Saikaley is a pianist, composer, improviser and sound artist
living in Ottawa, Canada. He received his B. Music in Piano Performance and Sound Design from Carleton University. His new solo album Borderline is set to release this year.
